Nanook Lodge British Columbia
Nanook Lodge copyright 2007
Dr. Bob Bailey, Rich Scanlon and Mike Foreman are returning to Nanook Lodge the first week of June, 2006, in hopes of landing another \"Tyee\" king salmon. All are members of the Nanook Tyee Club with Dr. Bob\'s 44 lb. monster still leading the largest caught during any of the past Anderson-Ferguson contests. Joe Anderson and Dave Ferguson, derby hosts, are in their 14th year of fishing with Nanook and look forward to each years trip. All of the Nanook guides are anxious to have their name engraved alongside each years winner on the famous toilet seat trophy!

Mike Spanbauer set to break his record
. Seen here in 2004 with wife Cindy, is Mike Spanbauer holding a 44 lb. Tyee! Mike is all set with his reservation for August in 2006 to try and land a larger Chinook Salmon! Accompanying Mike on the trip will be son Dalton an avid angler and huge Packer fan!

Ending 2005 with BIG success!!
After another spring and summer filled with great weather, guests and fishing, Nanook Lodge had a terrific September highlighted with many Tyees over 30 lbs. Scott Balcos, a veteran Nanook angler, landed his 36 lb. Tyee in mid-September during the start of the regular Chum run. Scotty is already signed up for his first trip in May of 2006.

San Francisco 49’ers visit Nanook Lodge.
Offensive Linemen Eric Heitman, Kwame Harris, David Baas, Justin Smiley, and Adam Synder joined kicker Joe Nedney and quarterback Shawn Hill for salmon fishing at Nanook Lodge. The group hosted by Dave Zeising, longtime buddy and teammate of Joe Nedney at San Jose State ventured into Bute Inlet last May taking advantage of the schooling Chinook salmon.

Following the annual herring migration and salmon near the lodge, guides and players enjoyed terrific fishing and camaraderie.  A new hot spot in the inlet was named “the 49’er end zone” after many large Chinooks were caught by the guys!

September 14-16, 2007 was the weekend for the inaugural Anderson “C & C” tournament
.
9 teams competed for prized Chinooks and Chums over three days with lots of great eating, fishing and fun! Saturday night’s dinner was a pre-wedding surprise party for Stephanie Hauptman and Sam Anderson. Besides the guests, our surrounding Big Bay neighbors helped celebrate the upcoming nuptials. A roast pig, turkey and salmon were served on the deck for everyone!

Winner!
